Movie suggestions?
Heading out in about 20 minutes to return DVD's and might as well pick up some more.
What's good, not new release but within the past year or so?
LOL, watched Jack Nicholson's "The Pledge" last night, om my what a bad movie. The plot could've worked but...didn't.
And the ending was HORRIBLE!

Just finished watching Rules of Engagement.
Pretty damn good, I enjoyed watching it. Didn't go quite where I thought it would but that's fine. Overall I thought it was well written, well shot, and well acted (I loved Tommy Lee Jones but he just didn't look like a 20 year old in the Vietnam shots, even with his face painted up and wearing a slouch hat pulled low...heh, he looked like a 55 year old trying to look like a 20 year old).

Was it actually an English flick or just had English characters?
Great movie, I agree. I liked LS&2SB better at first but after watching it a few more times I'm equally impressed.
Good question, I think it was directed by a Brit. That guy Madonna is mariied to, I think.
Depends who you ask I guess.
If was filmed in the UK with a mostly British cast and crew. It came out in Britain a few months before the US release. But it was filmed for Columbia pictures (Sony), most likely for a planned US release after Lock Stock became a cult hit.
So...I guess you could call it a British production of a movie intended for a US release, and funded by a Japanese company.

I'll check those out next time I'm there, I think I've seen interesting trailers for Ghost and the Darkness and it looks pretty good.
It's such a good movie. I'll tell ya a little bit about it.
2 male lions that hunt together. That's all you need to know.

Railroad...Tsavo lions, slowed down the construction of the railroad...
In reality I'm pretty sure it was only one hunter though...Jim Douglas rings a bell (an article on them in one of my books somewhere) but I could be totally off on the name.
It really was a true story, watch the end credits, they have the liond skeletons in a museum, I forget where, but they do ahve them.

Ummm,
The only reason I'm reiterating this that you quoted me as agreeing with you, then tried to convince me some more
