question
is that TCPoptimizer can boost the download speed?or only web browsing?
We hope to achieve up to 90% of the speed we pay to get from our ISP when we use TCP Optimizer. This is for browsing and also downloading.
Try the following with TCP Optimizer:
General Settings tab:
Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU 1500
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 26280
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - uncheck
Timestamps - uncheck
Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 4
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 8
LocalPriority - 1
Host Priority - 1
DNSPriority - 1
NetbtPriority - 1
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 80
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0
NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect
After reboot, test your speed at this link using the recommended test server:

You can go to this link to calculate the settings for Cablenut:i89WipeR wrote:dude how about the cablenut,i read that cablenut can help when tweaking can you give me a settings in cablenut?![]()
http://www.j79zlr.com/cablenutXP2k.php
One word of advice: leave the field for DefaultReceiveWindow blank if your OS is XP SP2.
You use your ISP given speed for download and upload, not the results from speedtests.i89WipeR wrote:in the website you give i have to give the download, upload, latency, but, in the speedtest.net the results are always changing what can you advise?![]()
For latency, use the highest latency value of the speedtest results at the test server(s) of the country you surf to most frequently.
Very Amazing Dude
when i finished your suggestted TCP and the cablenut i can watch youtube fast,WHILE using limewire THANKS DUDE I REALY APPRECIATED youre help, one thing i am not good in english
one last question?
i dont know what is my UPLOAD SPEED,because my service provider only said the 384 kbps
<a href="http://www.speedtest.net"><img src="http://www.speedtest.net/result/150713088.png"></a>
i think my web brosing is slow a bit but downloading is BLAZING

One last question pllzzz
Dude how about in the Maxconnections, the cablenut gives 8,10 but you give me a 4,8 what should i use?
You can try 4,4 or 4,8 or 8,8 and 8,10 to see which helps your browser to load fastest. For low broadband speed we use 4,4 and for high speed we use 10,20. So you will have to find the one that serves you best.LebronJeff wrote:Dude how about in the Maxconnections, the cablenut gives 8,10 but you give me a 4,8 what should i use?

Last question
i am confused in cablenut, because to use it you need a download, upload, latency, my service provider only said 384 kbps "INTERNET SPEED? are internet speed and download speed are same??

TCP receive window
in TCP analyzer i can use 513920,but the tweak you give me 26280,what is the effect if i use 513920?
TCP Window (RWIN) = Broadband Speed x Latency divided by 8LebronJeff wrote:in TCP analyzer i can use 513920,but the tweak you give me 26280,what is the effect if i use 513920?
If you use too high a RWIN, your speed will slow down if your signal suffers packet damage or losses.
RWIN should also be an even multiple of MSS.
26280 = 384 x 547.5 / 8 and is an even multiple of 1460 (1460 x 18).

dude
i wondering if cabblenut is realy help me in my connection..hmm what do you think?
I first use TCP Optimizer to tweak and then use Cablenut but some values that I have used in TCP Optimizer will be maintained when using Cablenut such as:LebronJeff wrote:i wondering if cabblenut is realy help me in my connection..hmm what do you think?
TCP Receive Window = GlobalMaxTCPWindowSize and TCPWindowSize
TimetoLive (TTL) = 64
DefaultToSValue = 80
Remember DefaultReceiveWindow has to be blank when your OS is XP SP2 as in this OS, any value entered will override TCP Receive Window.

dude
how about in "HOST RESOLUTION PRIORITY" in cablenut their settings is1,2,3,4 and the tweak you give is 1,1,1,1 what do you think?
The recommended values of TCP Optimizer are 5,6,7,8 and the documentation suggests to maintain Windows' original intention to have them run in that order of priority. Thus Cablenut and TCP Optimizer have the same recommendations (use small whole numbers and in that order).LebronJeff wrote:how about in "HOST RESOLUTION PRIORITY" in cablenut their settings is1,2,3,4 and the tweak you give is 1,1,1,1 what do you think?![]()
But I find web loading faster with 1,1,1,1.

Dude
what do you think in "HOST RESOLUTION PRIORITY" hmm i set this in 1,2,3,4 OR 1,1,1,1?
Wiper
dont confused dude after that i know that something was wrong and then my spees is..
<a href="http://www.speedtest.net"><img src="http://www.speedtest.net/result/152190909.png"></a>
<a href="http://www.speedtest.net"><img src="http://www.speedtest.net/result/152190909.png"></a>
This can sometimes happen in speedtest due to caching. The same test file was sent by the test server and if either the web proxy server or the browser already has that file in cache memory, that file will be transferred from cache memory and not from the test server, thus a faster file transfer speed.johnhc wrote:I don't understand the speed test that i89WipeR shows after tweaking. It shows over 6 Mbs with a latency of 639 ms but a RWIN of only 32120. How is this possible?
Thanks.....John
