go to run
type "command"
then type "ipconfig/release"
then tyoe "inconfig/renew"
sans the " " of course

sometimes IE and pals will just get confused and that smacks em upside the head

if that does not work try doing a tracert for example:

open DOS prompt:

type tracert http://www.speedguide.net

see how far it gets and where it stops..it actually sounds like a possible DNS issue, or a firewall block somehow if the IP command above does not work

New firewwall or have you been messing with the settings of the firewall?
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Start>Run>CMD

netsh winsock rebuild

Let it run then reboot, and you should be good to go again.
