Sounds like more and more might be able to make it!

Regarding tickets to the race. Are we responsible for getting our own tickets or do we want to try and get tickets close together?

That's a toughie...it'll be tough to get seats together unless we pool the money together and buy them at the same time...it might be easier to figure out a section that we want to sit in and all try to get tickets in that section...

Indy,

You know the track better than anyone. What's the best sections we could possibly get? What stand would be best? Look's like at least $60 for the tickets and I dont mind going to $75 per. We could pay pal someone the ticket money then that person get as many tickets together we can get. :) I guess we need to get definate answers to who REALLY want's to attend the race and who just want's to attend the meet. Let's get this sorted as quickly as possible as tickets went on sale this past Friday. :)

I can tell you this, it'll probably be hard to get more than 4 or so together thru the brickyard website. However, I can take a look at a couple of ticketbrokers here in town and find out what kind of deals they've got on blocks of tickets, plus my brother may be able to get a lead on some tickets as well...let me do a little checking and I'll see what I can find out...

I can talk to my uncle who has been going pretty much every year since they started it. And has been going to the 500 for about 20 or so years. See what he can do if anything. I know they get pretty good seats.

Both are up on 38th street close to Georgetown. The north end of the track is between 25th & 30th streets. Walking distance if it really came down to it. We can park in the Coke lot, which is at 25th & Georgetown. Probably have to come down Moller, I'm thinking, as traffic will be pretty stacked up on Georgetown...

We need to figure out a deadline to get the money together if we want to try and get seats situated near each other. The good seats, face value, are going to be about $75 to $85. No telling what they'll be if we have to go thru a ticketbroker to get the seats together...

Agreed!

I also want to see if MountainMan wants to attend also. I think he's on vacation taking his cruise. As he hasn't posted on SG in about a week and haven't seen him on MSN for awhile.

Who wants to be in charge of getting tickets? This person should be sorta local that know's the track on where the tickets are located and such ;) We could use Pay Pal to send money rather easy. :)

Sounds like a job for Tony(Indy). My wife gets tickets for free from a friend of ours so I probably wont be close to the group during the race, but before/after plans sound good to me!

indyost@yahoo.com is my paypal email address...we'll need to do this pretty soon and figure out which area of the speedway we want to try to get into. The most expensive tickets that they have run face value at $85. If I can't get those, then I can move down to the next lower value of tickets, and so on...I'd say we'd need to get the money together in the next couple of weeks if we want to have a good shot of getting goot seats...
