how can i change my ip , i have a cable connection thru a netgear rt 314 and running Win xp home thanks for your help

some people say if you leave your modem off for a while it will change its ip, but never happend to me. I also heard chanign your NIC changes it. But i think you can also call your cable company to chagne it..... wow all those "i thinks" .. somone will come in here and give you a positive answer :p

the weird thing is my i cant connect with my router cuz server says banned but i can connect without router

u need to call ur ISP to get a new IP address

yehayou need to call your ISP to get the new address THING THAT THEY WONT DO, At least Sprint wont ( i tryed when i had Sprint BB )

Yeah, the ip address (at least with comcast) is based on the mac address of the network card...if you switch network cards, you will pull a different ip address...
