GTA 3 question...

Post by Da_Devastator »

Does the radio, for GTA 3, work? I tried the radio button numerous times and heard nothing but some clicks and static here and there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to assume that you're talking about the radio stations and how to listen to them. You have to be in a car for the radio to work. I don't know what else to say, I might be wrong since I don't own the PC version of GTA3 but I do have the PS2 version of GTA3.

I was referring to the pc version (Everything relates to the pc version of GTA 3, in this post). I still can't get it (the radio stations)to work, despite the fact that I increased both volumes. BTW, for those that it is working for, what audio device, for GTA 3, are you using?

Also, how do you save games in PC version of GTA 3?

Lastly, where can I get the latest patch for GTA 3?

Have you tried getting in a car and using the radio when you're in the car? Because that's the only way I know how to get the radio to work. Also have you read the manual that comes with the game to see how to save the game?

it seems like the original poster may have the pirated version of gta3(lol), im sad to say i also have it, u cannot hear music in the cars unless you yourself put music in the mp3 folder, as for the saving, cant do it, as far as i know, i got to the second part of the city in one sitting, peace!

Your right; I had the pirated version of GTA 3.

I got rid of it and now use the real 2 cd version of it. The radio now works fine and saving works fine.

Thx for all of your help, peeps.

I have not tried to change the radio station by pressing the button but the best way to change it is to press escape while in the car and go to options and then to audio settings, select your station and then go to the resume game selection and your problem will be solved. (I suggest that you use the regae station!)

I agree with you, but in the case of GTA3-PC, my advice would be to simply NOT play it. Buying it just justifies their releasing of a beta-quality game. Stealing it is just as dumb, because you're stealing something that isn't even WORTH stealing.

If you have a PS2, play that one. If not, you're better off just not playing GTA3 until they've got the PC version working like it should.

I agree with BJS, not worth getting. I paid $50 for it and am kicking myself. Glitchy game, can't use infrared mouse well, and just not a very well done game. Tried using steering wheel and you can not adjust steering at all, either turning all the way or not and jerky action to it. They should have waited another 6 months at least, considering they still have not put out a patch that makes the game any better. My opinion is just wait a while and maybe play on a friends pc if you need to see for yourself.

I love buying a $50-60 dollar game and getting bored of it within a day's time. Software piracy performs a service. Some may abuse the service, but try taking back one of your games to the store. Every other item you buy you can take back if it sucks or falsely advertises itself on the box, except for software. Warcraft 3 was pirated heavily before it even came out in stores and broke records in its sales. I don't think you are paying a whole lot more because of pirates.

Really?

Prove it. Microsoft Corp. software is probably the most heavily pirated software ever. I just don't think they are suffering, or that you are paying more for their software than you would be under perfect non pirating circumstances. A company with 40B in cash can't be doing all that bad.

P.S. I've bought every game I've been happy with. And I've been pirating since 4.77 MHz 8086 boxes. The software that is worth your cash makes your cash. The software that is put out in a pretty box with false leads gets its due.
