Graduation from College...

Post by mountainman »

Hey all.

This past Sunday (one week ago), 19 May 2002, I graduated from college with my BA in Spanish education.

Just thought that I would share the photos with all of you. They are on the website under the "NEWS" section. It's the first one there.

I hope you enjoy them! :)

Thanks for the congraulations!!

It really feels good to be done.

Now I have to start thinking about graduate school. I have been contemplating going to Salamanca, Spain to the university there and going through a program they have to get my masters degree that is specifically set up for American Spanish teachers.

The program details are here (in Spanish): http://www.sgci.mec.es/usa/becas/

It sounds like a really sweet dealio. One month in the summer for two years...two months total. 8-10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Time on the weekends to travel. And then a 40 page minimum thesis paper. Sounds like fun to me!! :)

Anyway, my job starts on August 21st this year, so just wish me good luck!!

64bit.....thanks for kind words. I wanted something good at the bottom of the page besides the normal "all right reserved thing".

I got that idea from the West Coast Choppers website....."everything you see is protected by copyright laws - violators will be beaten to death". Nice.

Well, everyone have a great Memorial Day. It's brats and beer later on in the day for me. W00t!! :)

Thanks Amro and Minir!

Stickin to the plan and trying to make it happen. That is something that I've learned from my father and it has been working so far.

Hopefully my aspirations of becoming a college professor (Dr. JumpinDuo..?? :) ) will come true someday. Until then, it is HS and studies.

Have a great day!

WAY TO GO!

I would definitely say study in Spain if you have the chance to do so. That would be an amazing experience.

Thanks, Jeep!

I agree with you. The REALLY great thing about this is that the school I will be working for next year pays up to $900 per year for graduate work and my dad says he'll pay for any more education after my BA. So...looks like it will be quite cheap for me.

I guess that will just allow me to pay off my $38,500 from undergrad. *sheesh* :)
