I hate kazaa!

Post by KSJNX »

Hey guys, in the past while ive started to get alot of 1214(kazaa) port scans. approx 2 every min. ive told my firewall not to log these scans. but still i would think this is slowing down my modem. now it's not like i can e-mail 10,000 isp's and tell them that thier scanning me, so i'm not quite sure what to do. perhaps calling up my isp?. i mean it's not like it takes 30 min to load a web page but still. Anyway Kazaa (minus lite i think) is a bunch of adware anyway.

Not that I totaly agree with this but...

http://www.cleanclients.tk/

KaZaA, based on the FastTrack network, contains spyware and adware. Also, KaZaA does not share MP3s over 128kpbs by default.

If you already have KaZaA installed on your computer, a website called Rebound has a utility called KaZaA Rebound that will remove the spyware for you. Find it at the following URL:

If you do not have KaZaA installed on your computer, there is also a hacked client called KaZaA Lite which comes with it's own installer available. KaZaA Lite can be found at any of the following URLs:

Well, if it's a Kazaa user pinging you, they must be for a reason. Heck, post their IP here and I'm sure someone here would be happy to scan them for ya. ;)

I noticed that it took awhile before I stopped getting pinged on 1214, once I removed that piece of **** software.
