Moving Desktop

Post by fubarman »

Is there any way to get a desktop wallpaper that is animated?? Like some sort of pics from Digital Blasphemy and they have a short motion that keeps on repeating. Which makes me think, can I have a Winamp Plug-in as my wallpaper?? Thanks.

If you have Milkdrop for Winamp there is an option to use that as a background on your desktop. Other than that I do not know. My friend created a program called wallpaper changer. You add the files you want to be rotated and you can have it change every X minutes. Or you can have it change your wallpaper on startup. You can have it cycle through in order or randomly. Also, you can select it to tile, center, stretch the wallpaper. Currently his site is down while he is changing hosts and relaunching. But if you want it, let me know and I will zip it for you.

Yeah, I believe the "Active Desktop" thing will let you do something like that.

Give this man a cigar. :)

Set it up for Active Desktop and create an HTML file with whatever you want in it and it will be displayed when you choose that file as your wallpaper. It doesn't have to be just an image file, you can use HTML files as wallpaper too. I have animated wallpaper, one of them is all black with my av in the center.
