ok i have $ now and i am wondering what ram is best for pentium 4. ddr or rdram? is it worth paying extra $250 to a pc with ddr ram or should i just get rdram ?

Simple
if your a gamer or a home user, go DDR. Even if you are small business, go DDR, it's priced a helluva lot cheaper then RD-RAM and it'll perform just as good if not better then RD. The only con at the moment is that ram prices has risen like crazy, so you might not be able to get as much as you could have gotten a few months ago, but a P4DDR chipset wasn't out yet.
