Yes I just got this SMC Barricade (SMC7004ABR).

After couple hours of figure how to make the internet work on it. Which was stupid me didn't know i had to go into the router to configure it.
Well I got that working an updated the firmwares.

So Internet works on both computers.

Details:
One Running Winxp Client Running Win98se (Had Client Running Xp but switched back to 98se to see if it would slove my problem)
Cable Connection
Both Have same Workgroup MSHOME
Installed NetBieu on both computers
On Xp machine It can see other computers name but can't acess files.
On Win98se comp it can see it's own files but can't see the Xp computer.

Does this router support sharing files??
Cause even though ICS was flaking an the extra nic took up a pci slot. Man it sure did seem easier.
Pulling my hair out.

Was I suppose to leave the other nic in the main computer?? Cause I took it out. I was using that whole 2 nics in one 1 in other to share stuff.
Maybe I'll just do a fresh install of winxp on the main computer. Damn I like computer an all but sometimes i wish i could just bash the hell out of them.
I just got into this whole routing thing the whole networking stuff makes me crazy. Now I know why networking people get paid big bucks.
I apologize for the mumbling I'm tried my body hurts and gosh darn it I'm wanting to throw this router into the wall about now.

Also made sure the Xp machine has an account named of the 98 machine. Like I had it before I got the router.

Select a directory, drive or printer on each computer to share. You have to share something to get them to fully see each other. You have to physically tell the computer(s) what to share as they will not automatically share everything.

Also you will need to create a user on the XP machine with the name and password the same as what you log onto the (* machine with.
