I have 2 computers
MainOne runs Winxp 2 partitions In Fattie fattie 32
1 os
2nd Programs etc etc Porn free too
Second one Runs Win98se but their is porn on that one shhh it's my dad's porn shhh. Just pics shhh
I can login to the Win98 computer in Winxp
The Internet sharing works fine for both of them.
In Winxp I did make sharing drives and folders work using their simple filesharing method. But it require no password when i login from the Win98se. Unless I'm doing it all wrong.
I browsed the forum an saw you could switch the easy file sharing off to make it like win2k. I've tinkered with Win2k for a day or two with the file sharing thing but i really have no clue about how it works. Except the win2k version and the winxp version are similar yet different.
I've read enabling guess account but i heard that not good.
I'm not paranoid I just would like for things to be secure just cause Maybe I am Paranoided?
So Could anyone explain this to me in a way that won't jumble my mind. Pictures would be nice or some webpage.

I go to mycomputer
Right Click on the drive I wanna share say C:\
I choose sharing an security
Then Some window Pops up in Win2k old style
Share this Folder :Share Name C$
Comment: Deafult Share
Maxium allowed etc etc
Then I'm suppose to click Newshare
I'm suppose to pick a Sharename for this folder
Say I pic C
Then I go to Permissions
I see this In the Group or usernames box
EVERYONE
Then Permisson for Everyone all Checked to accept
But Say I want to make this work for the Win98 Computer??
What do i do then?
Oh then I hit Add
See the Name of the computer ex WILLYWONKA
Then has something aboot enter object names etc which doesn't appear to be similar to Win2k when I look at win2k for a little.
Okay enough babbling So what do i do??
