Does WindowsXP really limit the quality of MP3's. If you dont know can someone with WinXP and some MP3's try it out for me and let me know.

If you use Media Player to encode, the quality is limited to 56kbps, but 3rd party encoders work just fine.
If your browser can't read unicode, you should probably switch! ;)

What about just playing them, from like CD when they were already encoded at 192Kbps and playing them in winamp???

Media player / winamp / <your player here> will play mp3s at the bitrate encoded. The only limiting factor is ENCODING in MEDIA PLAYER. all other players/encoders will do it at the bitrate they want

i have winxp. and .. some where along the web i found a little registry tweak that changed that..
so now i can encode mp3 up to 256 k.. in windows media player..
ill post a screenshot later..
