Finally got broadband at the house

Post by Zilog B »

Switched from 28.8 dialup to one of those at&t air cards about 2 months ago. Does that count as having broadband?

:D

Yeah location, no cable, no dsl, too many trees for satellite.

Basically live in the woods. Aircard is great tho, since they recently got 3G coverage in my area. I can take the laptop with me anywhere...

At this point I couldn't go without my Cable connection now.. just too much I've got and do that revolves around my connection and its speed.

I dunno, got by years without all of that "stuff". We haven't had cable for about 8 years, now that HD is over the air we really don't need it.

I'm still shocked to this day that I had DSL available 1 month after we moved out here in the stix...cow pastures everywhere, 2 red lights in the city and I'm even on well water.

Boradband is such a great convenience. I've got way more speed than I need, but a 3-5mpbs down and 521kbps up is really needed these days, just to load everything quickly and get important downloads in a timely fashion.

I'm about to start going backwards. Time Warner has gotten far too expensive. My two year contract is up after this month and then my bill will jump to $160 for tv, phone, and internet. Going to have to drop some services.
