TCP Optimizer program does not detect dial up connection

Post by indigovisionX7 »

I'm up here at my cottage for now, and we don't have any alternative besides dial up for now. The problem is that when I load up the TCP Optimizer and try to fine tune my connection, the dial up connection doesn't appear in the list or isn't even detected. I've tried to fix things here on my end, but what could be the problem?

ya really shouldn't need it for dialup...its to Optimize a "broadband" connection. Your best option for dialup is to just make sure your telephone line is new and connected well to the outside box and your system is clean to avoid it sucking up your bandwidth or what little you have to start with.

Well.... it says it for everything from dial up to gigabit, so that's why I gave it a go. The other stuff you suggested has already been tried.

I'll upload the results of the TCP Analyzer in a bit.
