Tank is awesome, dont know how you guys hate him. He tells it like it is, no BS, and gives respect where it's due like he did at the end of the fight.

I want to see someone take Kimbo to the ground. Lets see what he can do there.

yeah, he probably wouldn't do to well on the ground.

Sean "The Cannon" Gannon is a Boston, Massachusetts police officer, and mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, who gained notoriety on the Internet due to a widely distributed video of Gannon defeating Kimbo Slice in an unsanctioned bare-knuckle street fight. [1]

This notoriety lead him to be the focus of a front page article on the Boston Herald, and an internal Boston Police investigation into his off-hours activities. The incident also caught the attention of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, who then promoted a fight between him and professional mixed martial arts fighter Branden Lee Hinkle. Gannon lost to Hinkle by TKO in the first round. Currently, Gannon has an amateur MMA record of 4-1 and has a professional MMA record of 2-1. He hasn't fought since losing to Hinkle in 2005.

He currently trains at Sityodtong Mixed Martial Arts in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Yup, getting him down is the problem. Tank didn't even come close to putting Kimbo on the mat. Tank is definitely past his prime, but he is still a great fighter with good technique and I have much respect for him. Kimbo's street fighting background tells me that he's going to keep his fights on his feet as much as possible. We will have to see what the future holds for Kimbo, I can't say he's not off to a good start. Grats to Kimbo for a quick and easy victory.

Tank is just a slugger, hes out of shape, has no conditioning, his ground game is a joke, he was a main draw back in the earlier days of the UFC before skilled fighters really took over.

Now, Tank Abbott is MMA's version of Butterbean.

Kimbo does need a real test, but I doubt he'll get it in EliteXC.

Tank's ground game is probably miles above Kimbo's, but I wouldnt know since I've never seen Kimbo on the ground. Tank is out of shape, but Kimbo needs to hit the gym as well. I can see Kimbo tiring very easily if someone can stand with him.

I would like to see Kimbo get some more competition as well. I wish Zuffa would have just left PRIDE alone, because I would love to see how he would fare in Japan.

lol Zuffa did nothing to PRIDE, PRIDE killed PRIDE with their ties to the japanese mafia which cost them their tv deal. Besides with DREAM on its way up and running you could still get your wish. Even though I have no idea who he'd fight besides Cro Cop.
