Fred Thompson Confirms Bid for GOP Nomination
Actor and former senator Fred D. Thompson confirmed yesterday that he is running for president, ending a political flirtation he has been conducting since March and thrusting himself into the thick of the battle for the Republican nomination.

Kinda late but I do think he has a fairly large base. After all, "some" people like the way he acts....
I wonder if his ties to the Nixon scandals will hurt him any?

The most knowledgable pundunt on political matters to have every graced the pages of Speedguide, Mr. Ghosthunter, would vote for him over Rudy, based on the characters that Thompson has played.hoss wrote:I just hope people are voting for him and not one of hte characters he has portrayed
I do find it odd though, that he supports both Rudy and Thompson, being that they are almost at political ends of the Republican spectrum.
