Ya win2k Advanced server has a FTP built in, But win2k pro doesn't have a ftp.
I suggest you don't use the built in FTP. Its a pain to setup and can sometimes take a while.
Use a FTP program like Serv U FTP or even G6.

Ok...
FTP server is part of Internet Information services, which is not installed by default. Go to the control panel, add software, and click Add/Remove Windows components. Check th IIS box, then OK. After you've installed it, you can configure the server in Computer Management (Programs -> Administrative Tools), under the Services Tab.
(p.s. What do you want for the e771)

If your browser can't read unicode, you should probably switch!
ok here is a new problem, i got it all setup but how do you set different permissions for different folders, cause what i want to do is have a main directory where you only have read permissions and a uploads dir with only right permissions......right now IIS in win2k will only permissions for the main folder and not a separate one for the uploads directory......
