iso burning problem

Post by puhbare »

I've tried Nero, CloneCD, Adaptec, Creator Platinum, and Fireburner and I still can't make a copy of a downloaded iso. Fireburner just keeps testing a burn, even if I unchecked the box; CloneCD can't read the file; Nero can't read it either, writes, but doesn't complete; Adaptec CD Creator wants me to reinstall like a million times; Creator Platinum freezes my computer during install.

I really want this Mandrake 8.0 copied to CD soon. I'm dying to try out Linux, is there anyone out there that have any suggestions for CD burning? I know there would be. What's WinOnCD and where can I get it?

thanks

If all the other burning software did not work, do you really think that WinONCD will? Maybe it's a corrupted ISO file.

it all depends on the extention of the file...

if there is 2 files - .bin and .cue
CDR-WIN is what i use...

nero has its own extention....

clone uses .ccd

hope this works...
i download 4 iso games and burnt them seccessfully...

tanks fellars,

I finally uninstalled adaptec and platinum, I used Nero. The CD will work on my laptop but not on the desktop. I did check to see if the file was corrupted and it wasn't and, yes, I downloaded it 3 times. Maybe I just have crappy discs, which I bought at Best Buys.

anyhow, thanks 4 your help :)
