Long time no see!

Post by stevebakh »

Wow, it feels like I haven't been around here forever!

I've not had the Internets here in my home for the past few months. I moved out to France to work for a webdev / graphic design company based in the centre of Paris for a year of experience in the field (and to live with my girlfriend) and it's taken them this long to get me hooked up at home!

What have I missed in the past few months? Did the forums go haywire during the elections this past week? Has Brent been unbanned, come back and been banned again? What's new?

I'm also going to :rtfm:

Prey got a job... wb dude.
Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

Hey Steve...been a while.

Sounds like you've been doing some exciting things.

Not much different here....next week we'll have something new though. ;)

Somehow during the elections things stay relatively under the lid here.

Hehe cool

I'm definately having a bash. I never saw myself leaving to live in France for a year, but I didn't see myself meeting a nice girl anytime soon either. A french one at that! :D

And yeah, I guess everyone burnt themselves out on the political front.

Also, I'm amazed at the internets they have here in france! Nothing like the UK. I'm paying 30euros a month for 200 channel TV (TV streamed over the net), IP telephony with free calls to loads of countries (inc US and UK) and 24mbit ADSL2. I think it's too fast for its own good. I downloaded the last 3 battlestar eps and watched them this morning. I don't know what else to do now...

And what happens next week? =)

Thanks :)

I'm glad to have the internets back again for my viewing pleasure. It's good to see SG again too.
