Cisco commands

Post by randomousity »

I'm trying to help out a friend who's taking a networking class.

I learned a command some time ago that will make it so that when you're in the CLI of a Cisco device, and something updates, like a connection coming online, if you're in the middle of typing a command, it will put whatever you have typed so far back on the next line, rather than having half the command, then the output, and then the rest of your command. It makes it much easier to keep track of what you're doing. The problem is, I can't for the life of me remember what the command was. Any suggestions?

Easy enough.

From console configuration mode issue the logging synchronous command. So it would be like:

Router>enable
Router#configure terminal
Router(config)#line console 0
Router(config-line)#logging synchronous
