I assume you've seen Ong-bak then?

If Jaa's intent is to work with big name directors like Luc Besson, he'll have to market himself with better action movies, but there's no doubt the the guy has plenty of talent.

And no matter how good he is at Muay Thai, Jet Li is still much cooler. :p

Tony Jaa has an another movie out there which showcases his all around skills much better then Ong Bak which only shows off his Mauy Thai.

I'm not sure the proper name of it...but we call it Elephant Lover. Apparently as a kid he grow up with an elephant which later on the in the future poachers kill.

Tony Jaa > Jet Li in terms of acting...I don't know...it would hard to be worse.

Tony Jaa > Jet Li in terms of martial arts maybe because he is more well rounded where Jet Li is pretty much just a striker. But if you take Jet Li back in his day.....

Tony Jaa actually does not do Mauy Thai he is a master in a older style called Muay Boran, in thory he would kill jet li dead if they were to fight.

Muay Boran is very old and the first fighting art of Thailand, it's a warrior art of death to kill with very few strikes, too long a story to go in to detail as its late here, look it up if interested.

I know all this only because my best friend is a Muay Boran world champion, on a side note another friend of mine was in a film with jet li he fought him in a fight scene, forgot the name of the film, but it was set in Paris, i think it was called Kiss of the Dragon.
When people are in need they tend to be nice, so it is best to not judge a person until they are content.

They are both coming from different times.

When Jet Li was training MMA was not widely practiced. People still believed one martial art was better then this one. Jet Li is an awesome striker, but I don't think he has much of a ground game. He is a very well accomplished fighter.
Martial Arts Achievements: 1974 All Around Champion - Chinese National Wushu Championships. At 11 years old he was the youngest All Around Champion ever. He went on to win the title a total of 5 consecutive times.
Tony Jaa is a very well versed figther and has a mixed martial arts background. He has studied Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai (or as Jada has stated Muay Boran), Aikido, Pencak Silat, swordplay (Krabi Krabong) and gymnastics.

Panom Yeerum (aka Tony Jaa) is also a well decorated athlete.

Jet Li represents the old, Tony Jaa represents the new.
