Maybe someone could help on this one

Post by m4a2t0t »

Im having a small issue trying to link a pick on my guilds forums. Whenever i try and link a pick from my site to the forums all I see is the link and no pick

example - this is what I see minus the space in front of the first [img] tag.
[ img]http://vision-guild.com/roster/addons/s ... /ganjo.jpg[/img]. - This doesnt work

If I link from my website that is hosted at another ISP I can see the picture.
[ img]http://talkabout-wireless.com/vision/sig-ganjo.jpg[/img] - this works

I can enter either of the urls in a browser and the image will show up. Now any of the above links work perfectly fine in SG forums.

Anyone have any suggestions at all of what I could ask the web guy to try to fix this? The guy doesnt know much and I cant get access to check it out myself.

The guild website/forums are running php fusion v6. My server that I have the images on is running w2k3 w/ IIS, PHP5 and mysql 4.1.

They probably have hotlink protection on stopping you from putting their pictures on other websites & stealing their bandwidth.

 sounds right to me, can you host them your self such as imageshack, photobucket... or some other hosting site and link them that way.

This part makes me think it isn't anti-leaching configuration - why would both links work on the SG forums but not on matt's?
anything is possible - nothing is free
