Any free webmail better than Yahoo?

Post by alex298 »

Hello,

The Yahoo web mail is worst in the past few weeks. It take me at least 15 minutes to open and read an email. The delete function is almost impossible. The emails in the INBOX accumulate almost up to 8000!

I tried the AOL webmail. However it seems to be very slow. It takes a long time to login the webmail account.

Best regards

Alex

Your ISP? Most of them have webmail...most places all do webmail now.

Google GMail isn't bad. You try MSN Hotmail?

Are you using Windows Onecare Antivirus? Have you cleaned out your temporary folders lately? Try using http://www.ccleaner.com its free and it will clean up all your old temp files.
Also try this. In IE click on TOOLS/Internet Options/ Click on Settings, and type in 100 in place of whatever High number is in that box, click OK then click on Days to save history (If you don't care about your history size) and set it to 2 or 4 or even 0 if you'd like, click on APPLY then click on the security Tab and set each one to default settings, then click on apply, then click on Advanced Tab , click on Set Defaults and then look all the way near the bottom for EMPTY TEMPORARY Folders on exit, then click apply and OK

Click on Start/RUN and type in diskperf -n and click OK if you don't need Diskperformance service enabled and that will speed you up a bit too

You can also Click on MY COMPUTER, then Right Click on LOCAL DISK C and left click Properties and Uncheck where it says Allow this drive to be indexed and click Apply ..this will take a while....when it comes upon an error just click Ignore All

Hope this helps!

Your ISP would be the best way to do it if they provide pop3 or IMPAPI (SP?) email addresses....
