Help me straighten this out OS install/partitions

Post by YARDofSTUF »

C: Contains WinXP

D: Had Suse 10

Grub was the boat loader

I formatted the linux and linux swap partitions and am now putting WinME on there(Don't ask) and I still have grub trying to load, but since I dont have the linux partitions, ya it wont.

So I need to clear out the rest of grub and set it up so that I can choose XP or Me at boot.

Boot from your XP cd, go into your recovery console, and type

Code: Select all

fixmbr
That will kill grub and put the Windows boot loader back on the MBR.
