Ultra Connect PSU - My experience

Post by Steven »

I will NEVER deal with this company again :irate: The Ultra PSU was the last item to be added replacing a generic PSU. When I installed the PSU the PSU's LEDs flickered went out and the PC would not post. I disconnected the PSU put my old one back in and now the system will not post with that one either.

Ultra's stance is they will not do a dang thing. They claim they are not responsable for the install. They went on a long technical talk not realizing they were talking to a network engineer who has been around well over a decade. Sorry guys I have a line conditioner as well as a hefty UPS so it was not my electrical problem like they tried to state pushing the blame on me.

Bottom line they now want a component level diagnostic showing a power spike and they will then look at the issue and do not promise anything even with that.

So heed my warning, pass the word. If it works great. If it potentialy hurts anything you have the company will not do a single thing for you with out high end expensive testing and even then no gurantees :irate:

too bad you have a bad experiance with that PS, i have read about other people having issues as well, hope it didn't take any other parts with it when it died.
