Call Of Duty...HELP !!!!!!

ok heres the problem..

i did have a problem regarding the sound files..since then i have reformated my HD, and went out and bought a NEW copy of COD, i did think all was well but now i have a different problem, during gameplay cod will freeze! stops dead for no reason then i have to restart the pc, even CTRL/ALT/DEL has no effect, i get no error messages of anykind.

anyone got any idea whats going on here???

this happens approx 5 min into game play.

i have all the latest drivers etc and Dirext x9 etc

Did you install the patch?

The week I played CoD, I did have a lockup problem in a level towards the end of the game, after that rush up the hill into city square in Stalingrad, or wherever. But that was before the patch came out.

now theres a thought...Oops! what patch... dont suppose you have a link for it?

i was having problems before with the sound, but now cod is just drivin me mad lol

this doesnt happen on any paticular map or server, it happens on every server/ map i go on.

do you think this is whats causing the problem then? not having the patch..what version of the patch am i looking for?

http://www.codfiles.com best dam site for COD Mods out there. I mod for COD I have all sorts of stuff for it. Try updating to the lastest graphic card drivers. http://www.omegacorner.com Once you check out the skins and stuff you won't play the game without any mods again. Lots of good stuff. Download these mods best out there.
