Question =/

Post by Neptune-Sya »

I managed to calculate my RWIN maually as described in msnosteels tips.

(Cap 960 x 124ms)/8 = 14880

14880 /1440 (MSS) = 10.3333333333 or 10

14880 *10 = 148800 is Optimal RWIN.

My question is where exactly do I place this value under Cablenut? I've placed in the Default Receive Window, however, whenever I a TCP anaylzer test, this shows up:

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 31680
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 31680

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
506880 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
253440 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
126720 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63360 (MSS x 44)

it shows my RWIN as 31680???

How come

p.s I've also rebooted to affect the changes.

thanx.
