USB & PS/2 Power??

Post by hjm357 »

Does anyone know the voltage & current of USB & PS/2 ports? I have a device that recieves power only from a PS/2 port. My new laptop does not have a PS/2 port and I would like to know if I could simply use a PS/2-USB adapter so that the power will continue to work.

+5V dc for USB and PS/2. USB is rated for 500 ma per port max, don't know about the PS/2. You could probably get a port replicator for the laptop, should have it's own power supply. It would have USB, PS/2, etc, etc.
I don't know the same things you don't know.
