Cracks me up...with all these "lite" versions available, does anyone actually use the versions with spyware and adware INCLUDED?!?

WinMx might be worth checking out also.

The best out there is usenet. (Newsgroups, Binaries)

I used to just use WinMX....originally spyware free, no need of hacked light versions, and no rampant viruses designed for it yet, unlike Kazaa.

It's brutal, along with it's sister, eAnthology. Surefire way to hose a system.

It's kinda funny how they charge for it too.. rofl.

How are some of these programs still going? Obviously built with malicious intent, I'm just curious how they are still going?

Anyone have a source for the latest version of Kazaa Lite? I tried the one link near the top of this thread, but that's no good anymore. I had to uninstall the version I had on my computer at home and now would like to do a fresh re-install.

Bear SHare isnt even near the best...

If you like the Gnutella network, which is what limwire, and bearshare run on, and countless others, then get shareaza.

http://www.shareaza.com

It runs the gnutella, edonkey, and bittorrent networks all in one.

If you are looking for a fasttrack client, (kazaa, kazaa lite, K++) then go here

They both use completey different networks, you decide.

Shareaza uses the same networks as bearshare and limewire (gnutella), also Edonkey, and bittorrent.

Kazaa Lite uses the Kazaa network.

Like always it varies on who your downloading it from.

Kazaa I've gotten 260KB/s
Shareaza I've gotten around 240

But it can go faster.....

No certain network is faster, not in my opinion

Shareaza

K++ is still decent for music, but apps or anything else... go Shareaza! :D

For WinMX users.....you can also use a ton of different servers...

I posted this a long time ago. Roundeye is now the forum expert with it. He's mentioned that he's connected with as many as 25 servers...

NapMX

Another great WinMx help site....
