Ok, if I was dealing with Charter, I would be checking into DSL too. For $30 per month, you can get 256/64. Man, that's 5x faster than dialup. Level2 costs $45 per month for 768/128. Level3 costs $60 for 1544/128. I would be checking into DSL defintely. In my area, I'm happy to have Cox as a cable company, their speed package of 3000kb down and 256kb up is fast enough for me. I heard Cox is going to offer tiering packages in the future but I'm not sure.

256/64 is only like 30 kBps max download speed... who would want that?

1.5 mbps per second is about 190 kBps... which is what I am running. Like 80 % of the people on the internet are using 1.5 if you're not happy with that then you are spoiled lol. :D

Adelphia (SoCal) is pretty awful. It used to be great but it's been so oversold that at times it's little better than dial-up. :(
