horrible static sound and video issue

I get a horrible static sound when playing Roller Coaster Tycoon when I go near the rides, and the video on all of my games goes like this gooooooooooooooooo stop gooooooooooooooooooo stop goooooooooooooooo stop. What the heck is wrong?!?

Hi,
It could be a DMA Conflict....but now seeing that you posted that you have Windows XP as your O.S....
I would try to upgrade your sound card drivers, plus your chipset drivers for your Motherboard. No Offense, but are you sure that you have enough memory on your video card to run the game? Whats the mininum specs of the game your trying to play?

at least 50MB free hard drive space
1 MB SVGA card
Windows 95 compatible Sound Card

Pentium 200 MMX CPU
Windows 95/98
32 MB RAM
8X CD ROM DRIVE
at least 50MB free hard drive space
2 MB accelerated SVGA card

Ideal System Requirements: (for ultimate game performance)

Pentium II 350 CPU

64 MB RAM

I have way over the ideal system requirements, but I have a Nivida 2 64Mb video card, kinda out a date, also where do I get drivers for my sound card?
I want a better computer!
