Asus-A7V333 onboard sound (how to record wav+mic)

Post by IceCube »

I have Asus A7V-333 Onboard Sound(CMI 8738 6 channel with SPDIF), I want to record wave sound and microphone sound at the same time(eg. background music and my voice). The question is: How do make it so I can record both(wave+micorphone) together?

In the record setting(C-Media Mixer), I can't activate both wave and microphone at the same time. It's either wave OR microphone but not both at the same time. I remembered on my old computer(which is also C-media onboard sound) I can activate both easily with the click of a button.

Specs:

XP 1800
Asus A7V-333/w onboard sound (Non-Raid)
Windows XP Professional
256 ddr ram
40 gig Maxtor Harddrive

Thank you!
