From what I understand, not unless your having troubles with DirectX 8.1.
9 right now, is still a developmental release, so I don't think I'm going to chance it as of yet.

Works fine for me on 2 of my rigs.

3dmark score really did not change, all my games play fine.

Both windows 2000
