random pauses in video

been playing raven shield online for awhile. i upgrades ti 4200 128 and windows xp. p4 1.6 @ 2.2, 512 ram. i tweaked the hell out of raven shield and windows xp. i still get these random pauses and drop of fps without any action going on. can some1 help please.

Do you have a lot of background programs running, like an anti-virus app?

maybe lag, have u checked what ur ping is through all this?

my ping is usually 40-90,pretty good, i have nothing at all running. im so confused.. any other suggetions i think i tried everything except going to windos 98

Is you overclock stable? I would run prime95 for 24hours then loop 3marks a couple of times and if it makes it threw that, then you know you o/c is stable.
