Which modem is the best for cable?

and is tweaking a cable modem easy?? just like dsl??
(no uncapping)

Either the Motorola SB4100 or the Terayon Terajet DMC210-10, there is no actual tweaking to the modem iteslf, it's your TCP/IP settings you tweak.

and. if i get cable 512/256.. what is the max speed i can get at non-peak hours? 512/256?
