UNIX/Linux/BSD

Or Windows 2000 Adv. Server.
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

Yep, I did all that..even all the subdirectories.

I even unchecked the passive thing...and tried it that way..

What's passive, anyway?

The folk I had try it, can log in...but they can't seem to get past "list"....The log says it disconnects them, but they are still connected. Dunno.

Yeah, I tried it both ways....maybe I need to just uninstall and reinstall. Could be a glitch in the installation.

I'd say Adv Server is really a bit WAAAY overkill for a home broadband server. Advanced server over standard server has to do with running "clustered" servers...like in a database farm.

What would matter more to you, running on a plain server version, is which FTP Server software you choose...NT's native, or something like Ipswitch's FTP Server.
