Has Nvidia officailly stopped developing for win98?

Post by Ghosthunter »

I know I posted in the official thread below, but I dont think anyone saw it, I am not sure.

So the question is, will Nvidia be releasing Detonator 4 drivers for Win98?

Or have they totally stopped to develop for that OS?

Does anyone know an official answer?

Thanks

Microsoft won't allow nvidia to release official drivers for windows 98 because since Microsoft no longer supports it, no one else is allowed to because they want you to buy newer stuff.

They still support Windows ME. ME uses the same basic kernel with 98 so it should work just fine.

Basically Microsoft is a walking advert for linux distros everywhere. :)

Microsoft still supports win98, I dont think they are scheduled to drop support until 2003
