I gave up smoking pot back in high school !

I just did it back then to fit in with the crowd and there was this hottie i wanted to be with. She was with the "in" crowd so that's why i did it. I remember when i finally nailed her.....oops, too much info

I no longer smoke pot except for the occasional toke or two. I like how it makes me feel. I am high stress and when I do smoke it, it relaxes me. I no longer smoke because I get paranoid about getting caught and getting in trouble (except for the occasional toke or two).

i'm clean now, but for me aside from the taste and smell it was the actual process of getting high It just feels nice to go from reality into a realm with a distorted perception of time and space. Some interpret the insanity as insight, while the reality is your finding peace in chaos and delusion.

It smells great, tastes great, and feels great.

I use to smoke it alot when I was selling big quantities, it made the day go by faster and it didn't matter what I was doing, if I was stoned I was having fun and if what I was doing was already fun being smoked out just made it even more fun.

But now*sigh*, I haven't smoked since feb. and me looking for a job is keeping me from smoking.

I miss it but at the same time I don't, ya know.

Plus, I like the feeling, and it's relaxing.

But for the record, it's been quite awhile since I last smoked... last drug related thing I did was eating weed brownies. lol

What's wrong with sex in a bathroom/house anyway? If Avril Lavigne, Mandy Moore, and the like were hanging out down at your local mens room, what do you think the stats on straight guys would be?

Anyway... I've smoked pot because:
1.) I have friends who, once in a while, will hand it to me.... and of course I must be polite.
2.) It's an act of political defiance against Big Brother and his gang of jackbooted thugs.

Otherwise, I'd never touch the stuff. Doesn't do anything for me.

Im at work again, laughing so hard @ you guys... back to the subject,I smoke it because it does take the edge off stressful things, especially "disagrements" that me and the man have,cuz you just start laughing @ each other instead of yelling or... anything else , you know?!!!!! but my little thing to thing about is , how many stoners do you hear of getting behind the wheel and killing or crashing in to others vs. drunk drivers. Everyone that gets stoned and drives , normally you go too slow and extra careful!!!!!

I smoke because my brother forced me to when I was 13, then I realized that it isn't bad at all (except for the lung cancer, which it will be worth it to die from). Now I just laugh when I have to sit through those ignorant D.A.R.E programs at school, they are SUCH a waste of money...

Why do I smoke it... hmm.... depends on the point of view.

One could say I smoke it because it's tolerated here in the Netherlands. I wouldn't if I'd live in the US, I guess.

Then, from the viewpoint which your question aimed at, "what does it give me".

As you know, I'm a huge fan of music. With THC, music becomes much more intense, you can sort of indulge in it to a degree where you become one with the music. This is a major bonus for me.

I started smoking fairly regulary because I couldn't get to sleep for a long time. I used to lie awake in bed often 3 hours before finding sleep. With weed, this is entirely different, now I can go to bed and be asleep in a few minutes. Then I use it as a means to get rid of aggression. I'm pissed, I smoke a joint, I'm okay again.

I'm not gonna start the legalization debate again, as it was not in the original post, and of course this view is biased since I do smoke it. Oh well...

When I used to smoke it did a lot of positive things for me.

It was an anti-depressant. When things were rough, MJ always made me feel 100 times better.

It enhanced everything you did, and made everything "funner"

It helped ease nausia...I have a weak stomach.

It was so much safer than alcohol...and about the same price for the same effect.

I've even heard of vaporizers that they have now that will eliminate the need to smoke the stuff...so you dont have to worry about cancer.

Its a shame that there is such a strong stigma against pot. Its not worth the trouble to smoke in my case, so therefore I dont.

When I'm old and retired I'm going to have my own growroom...sit back and relax, and enjoy the last bit of life I have left.
