I agree, the 8500 is the better card.

You may want to look at Geforce 4 Ti4200 though. It's near the price range of the 8500
Fdisk?
It only take me one beer to get drunk...just not sure if it's the ninth or tenth one

I wouldnt even consider a gf3 ti500, it's simply not worth the price. i have a radeon8500 64meg and i've been very happy with it. In this same system, I've also run a msi gf3 ti200. I feel the ti200 wasSLIGHTLY better at the time with games. However, the radeon drivers have improved alot since then; plus the radeon was better for movies and 2d display. That's even with the less drivers I was using at the time.

All things considered, I would only consider three cards. Either the gf3 ti200, the radeon 8500, or the gf4 ti4200. Since all three cards will perform amazingly, given any computer; I would base the matter on price and availability.

you would consider the gf3 ti500 when its only $120 US. Like you, I also considered the gf3 ti200. But when I found a ti500 about $20 cheaper than the ti200. That's a bargain u cannot pass up. =o)

Also, I wouldn't reccomend the GF3 Ti200, as the Radeon is still the better choice, even the Ti500 gets beaten by the Radeon in alot of spots..
