Hosting CS server with Netgear RP114

Post by Blisster »

So I'm trying to run a dedicated server through my RP114. When im on my other machibne at home, i can connect via LAN, but am having a hard time figuring out how to give out the IP to my friends so we can all pay on my server. When I join on LAN, the IP is the local 192.168.0.3 IP, but what IP do i need to give to my friends, and where can i find it? In the router set-up utility, i get a WAN IP adress, but if i search for a game server there, i don't find anything.

Help anyone?

Thanks

you need to go into the settings of your router, go to advanced, go to ports and then enter port 27015(thats the default CS server port) then put the IP (local) of the machine thats running the server, i.e 192.168.0.3.

to obtain your WAN IP goto the 'maintenence' section of your routers comfig, the first screen that comes up should have your WAN ip listed.

PM me ir look me up on AIM: WCE Blisster if u got any other ???
