arrrgh..... my stupid cable keeps cutting off. ive got a tech coming out wed. between 1 and 5 who can hopefully solve my problem. all of a sudden i'll just lose the signal and the send/recieve lights will start flashing. i checked all connections and everything on my comp and nothing could be causing it to do it on my end. there has been some new construction going on around me here lately and i dont know if maybe that has something to do with it or what.

Have you tried looking at the config page to see what kind of levels you're getting?

192.168.100.1

Once you bring up the config page, click on the signal tab and make sure downstream signal to noise ratio is above 30 db and your upstream power level is between 35 & 50 db...

This means you're not getting enough signal to the modem...have you changed anything recently, like moving the modem into a new room or putting a splitter in line?

Is the cable line outside buried, or from a pole?

that is what his uncle told him too. his uncle thinks it is because they may have too many t.v.'s on that same cable line. i dunno.

but he(theantipop) has still got to call them to get them to come back to his house...*ahem* he keeps forgetting... :p
