I'm running a AMD Duron 700 MHZ with WinXP 256MB etc...
My problem is that I have the connection (comcast cable modem) shared through a Netgear RT314 Gateway Router and Norton Antivirus 2002 cannot see the internet connection.
Whenever i run live update it refuses to see the internet connection. I'm also running Tiny personal firewall but I have allowed Norton AV to use any port neccessary.
Email, webpages, IRC etc.... work fine via the router but Norton refuses to see the connection. Any ideas ?
Thanks
Need help with Norton 2002 and Netgear router

Yer outta there!
Won't update behind a firewall or proxy, and I doubt that it will work behind a Nat router.
Kip
that's funny.. i have Norton 2002 - an asante router, zone alarm, and comcast.net
I don't have a problem on any four of my machines.
Sorry, I don't know what's causing this, but it's not any of the three above.
You're wrong on this one Kip. I have a 314, run ZAPro and Norton doesn't have ANY problem with updating. Works great!!!
Jmallx: First thing to check: Are you behind a proxy with Comcast? I know some people setups have been pretty goofy with them transitioning. I suspect that's your problem.
Second: Shut off Tiny altogether and try updating Norton to see if that works. You have anything else running? XP's stupid firewall? Have you tried trimming down any services and accidently shut off something Norton needs running to update?
