My cat (basically my best friend ever) has run away. He has been with me now for 8 years, and it's hard not seeing him there wanting my attention. Even as I type this, I am fighting back tears. I have spent the last hour and a half on my golf cart looking.

I know you might be thinking "wow - his best friend was a cat, he must be a 46 year old virgin that still lives with his parents" and I reply back that I am a 15 year old, still in high school that has tons of homework, and the cat was always there next to me.

I'm sad and extremely pissed off about this situation. Please pray that I can find him.

Good luck. Your cat is probably hiding somewhere near your house. Is he an outdoor cat or in indoor cat? If you always keep him inside, then when he gets out he will want to stay out forr a while. My cat was an inside cat and when he got out, I always found him near the house hiding.

I feel ya man, but in most cases cats don't just get up and run.. example; We took a cat to my brothers house 2 miles away from ours, cat got loose and ended back up on our door step...

I hope all is well with your cat . Is the cat sleeping somewhere ? ah, I just don't want to think ya lost your cat.. at any rate good luck man hopew things work out for you

I can relate to the feeling. It's hard when you part with something that you have for a long time. I feel for you man. :(

He'll be back when he gets hungry, he knows where his food is. :D

To be honest if he hasn't been fixed yet, he's probably out looking for some strange. Get him to a vet and have him fixed when he comes home, that'll stop him from roaming around the hood. I know I wouldn't even want to get out of bed in the morning if I didn't have any nuts. ;)

My cat follows me around like a dog, even comes running up to the car when I come home from work. He's an inside/outside cat and would stay gone for days at a time untill I had him fixed. Damn, makes my nuts hurt just thinking about it, poor cat.

Heres some suggestions

My cat Seairra hides in cupboards, under the couch, in boxes in the closet, any where- where it is warm. If your cat is outside, shake the food bag and call its name, leave food on your step so it will come home for food,

if its a male cat look for a group of cats as one of my old ones was a sleaze bag and you could find him where ever there were females.

Searria has only gotten outside twice, once I had to chase her down the road the other time she broke out a window screen to get a bird while I was at work I came home and there she was sunning her self on the porch. Dont give up faith. I am sure your cat will be home soon.
I am awesome.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my cat was a little pissed off at me, for a while, after I got him back from the vet.

your cat will probably come back, I had an indoor cat we let out every now and then, he would run away for days and then show back up.

That's why I posted it. He'll be back. Just to be on the safe side you may to keep an eye out in your local newspaper to see if anyone found a cat, and call your local pet shelter to make sure he didn't get picked up.

I was just about to post how sorry I was to hear that, having had a cat by my side for 19 years (ever since I was 2 years old), I certainly know how much you can become attached to a feline friend.

But then, I read your cat returned, and so I get to save my breath, and just say that I'm happy for you that this turned out well. :)

Cheers,
Ronald
