Well off to buy a New Vacum Cleaner, Life Sucks

Post by minir »

Hi to All

Two weeks ago i got out my Vac to do a little tidying up and the stupid thing freaked.

A belt let go, taking the beater bar with it. That in turn seized the drive and smoke came billowing out of it instantly, also some metal parts flew off the beater bar.

Never seen anything like it before.

Big black mark in my Carpet (fortunately i got it out) but the damn thing actually blew up. Motor was lunch meat. yuck.

Same day i had an Eye Exam, i went to my Mom's to get her to come with me, as i normally can't drive after the drops he uses.

I parked my much loved 91 Mazda "Patches" beside Mom's Millenia S and went to get her in the Condo.

When i came out i smelt gas. Going to the Drivers side of Mom's car (i drove to the DR.s) i see a puddle of gas under Patches.

99% F day so i thought it might be a vapour thing in the tank causing it to spill over.

Returning to the Condo, large puddle of gas now under Patches.

Threw some dirt on it and headed for the Mazda Dealer.

Explained my Problem and left it there. 2 hours later i get the Phone Call.

Patches had succumb to Canadian cancer (road salt).

Gas tank eaten through $509 CDN., Radiator just about finished, muffler had holes as well (3rd. Muffler) and they discovered soft spots in the floor, plus the body which i didn't care about but.

10 years old 51,000 miles and $3,100 to fix Him up.

I had thought He and i would be together forever, but alas not.

Sad Minir.

I am now driving a New Retriever, i've Named " Goldie " (color)

She's a Mazda 1/2 ton with CD, Power, big 6, A/C etc. All shiny and New.

My heart was broken over losing Patches (they promised to find Him a good Home) and my Bank Account was also Severely injured during the exchange.

Goldie is settling in nicely though and the house has accepted Her i think.

Today She get's to perform Her first Retrieve, which excites us both. :)

She will pick up and deliver our new Vacum Cleaner.

Bummer is my Bank Manager is giving us dirty looks.

He sucks to. :D

I can't win for losing. It's been like that since the beginning of this year and shows no sign of letting up! :p

R.I.P Patches

I still say Goodnight to Him as always.

I worry about Him being alone in some deserted compound, awaiting His Fate.

I hope some young guy with some mechanical know how adopts Him and treats Him well. :)

Goldie performed admirably on Her First real outing today & is sitting in the Driveway Proud as Punch.

Hi princess

yes all is well, just liked my old truck and didn't really want a new one.

However now it's done, well it's ok.

Hi crazyman

looked real hard at Eurika, Hoover, Dirt Devil

went with the Dirt Devil on sale here at Canadian Tire for $229CDN.

It looked of better quality than the others. Who knows.

Ya pay's yer money & ya takes yer chances. Or so it seems. ;)

Good Luck
