Considering buying this...

I have the chance to buy this system pretty darn cheep. ( $750.00 but still talking him down ) i know the guy he builds PC's in his basement so he does get the parts cheep. ( money isnt really a prob, but i like to keep what i kan. ) anyhow here the specs. I just want opinions here cause im not as good with hardware as software.

Mobo = Intel D850GB
CPU = Intel P4 1.7 Ghz
Ram = 256MB RDRAM ( for starters )
VIdeo = Nvidia Gforce 32 MB ( i think thats it, or its very close )
Sound= SoundBlaster Live!
HD = 20 Gigs ( unknown Rpms, ill find out )
and of course standard mouse, keyboard, POS speakers, and if all goes well a decent 19" moniter for not to much extra

Should i get this or wait on the P4?? Ive been told to just wait because it will be a while before the P4 starts eating up every other proceser on the market.

If it were me and I acctually had the money to afford something near that I would wait.

Prices will go down while Mhz go up... but if you want it now' its definetally a good setup

Thnax guy i am now really considering it... i personally think its a good deal. Ping is correct price down Mgz up... i would like to have will power to wait but if you knew what i was using now youd understand better... im to embarresed to say. Thanx for you input.

For only 750.00!!!

Man thats a unbelievable price! the cpu-mobo combo for a 1.7P4 is like in the 400's and you're getting all that for 750! I say try and talk him into a GeForce3 since he gets all that stuff cheap and then you'll have an unstopable power gaming maching. Yikes thats cheap.... Where can I contact him lol. Peace:2cool:
