Signal problem and slow download speed on PS3

Post by faoliveira »

I have a signal problem specifically in a room, in case my room. The worst that the apartment is small. Along that I have a serious problem on

the PS3 download. To have an idea left by downloading Saints Row (8GB) and after about 7 hours were done downloading only 17%

Let's show the data
Router Model: Linksys E2500
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) mini - build 21061
Radio: Radio is On
Mode: AP
Network: Mixed
SSID: Batcaverna
Channel: 1
TX Power: 71 mW
Rate: 36 Mbps
Advanced Settings: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zwpgzrqwka14tm5/Advanced.jpg

inSSIDer close to the router: https://www.dropbox.com/s/44jn520vrkvbene/SSD-1.jpg
inSSIDer in my room: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ru6qoq4nwramzx/SSD-2.jpg
(sometimes aka always REALLY drops)

Latency: 40 ~ 96ms
Download: 8 Mb/s ~ 12 Mb/s
Cable Modem Model: Cisco DPC2203

Reading some topics seen suggestions of using QoS. What are the suggestions for this model, if I change something in the advanced settings, if I put the PS3 in QoS (which would be the right doors?) etc.

Put on QoS priority for DNS, Skype and PS3 Mac. At home only use the Wi-Fi: 2 laptops (hardly used at the same time), a smartphone and PS3. In case I have no way to leave the router near to the PS3 for connect cable.
