Bandwidth Control

I am going to take 1.5 MB Internet connection and then I will share this in my building. I don't want that some from my building start downloading and eat all bandwidth due to that other will have problem. So what I was asking is there anyway like any router or modem which can through MAC or IP control bandwidth . How can I do that. Kindly help me on that.

Well first off are you allowed to do this? Do you have a business type account setup with your ISP cause if its a residental I don't think you can per the policies of most ISP's that I know of. You best check on that first otherwise allowing and not allowing MAC's per the router is easy to setup on most routers that is.

Yea it is allowed is that type of account only for whole building.

zyxel is "build in" bandwindth management feature. u can also use a proxy server to do that for u, but u gonna study a lot

I Know abt proxy server very well but i dont want to buy another server for the same. I was looking for cheap solution.

Well ignore that user you just quoted its a spammer, as for your setup you need to look at the router you currently have. Break out the manual and start setting up connections to each user based on a MAC address and then assign each a certain IP#. Each can fill out a form to get you this information at which you can assign them a IP# at that point. Then just go into the router settings to restrict each IP# a certain amount of bandwidth. Most routers have this option so you just need to check into the manual of the router.
