Me gots a new doggy Mamas :D
No Longer Need Help On Identifying or Naming The Dog, The Title Seriously Needs To Update 'Cause I Already Changed it.
Well I was hoping some of you peeps could help me figure out the breed of this dog just by viewing some pictures. Also was hoping someone could come up with a name cause I've got nothing in my mind.
From what I've experienced with the single day I've had her. She seems to be an explorer, hyperactive, obsessive licker, constantly follows me around (can walk her around without a leash lol.), she likes to get close to me and try and nap on any body part of mine. Well that's all I can really think of for the moment.
She's six weeks old and not spayed either.
apparently my mother got her for mother's day but she really didn't want her.
It was more of a "Here's, take this dog as a mother's day gift.".
My mother not wanting to be an a-hole and saying "I don't want the dog." as a rejection of the gift so she just took the dog and said thank you.
Gotta get her vaccinated and stuff still.
Not even completely certain if I'll be keeping her due to financial constraints but I take care of her in the meantime.

Thanks. Was thinking she was a mutt (i love mutts) but i guess I'd have to go to the vet to truly find out. At this stage I honestly can't tell what kind of dog she is. I've looked up several breeds but doesnt look like any of them. Figured I'd go with Lab and Rot first but too small for that I think. Tried chihuahua but didn't look so much like a chihuahua either.YeOldeStonecat wrote:Awww...cute little dooger. Mix in there?

Sorta looks like it but she's too small to be pure rottie so I'm leaning towards the mutt area.Sarahnn wrote:Maybe a lil rottie??
Thanks.Humboldt wrote:What a cutie.
My $ on a chihuahua mix, can't say I see anything else there
Hard to tell at that age though.
Keep us posted.
Who gave the pup as a gift?
Horrible idea.
My oldest bro think she's a chihuahua but she doesn't look like a complete chihuahua to me. In fact she doesn't look like any dog in particular so I'm looking at the mutt area.
Will do. Also taking pictures of her constantly, sorta hard with this camera I got, seems like I get blurred pictures more often than not. Anyway, I'm just interested to see how she grows, sorta like a chia pet. One day they're all cute and cuddly sleepin in your lap the next they're chewing up your furniture as a ten ton monster. lol.
Well it was a gift from a good friend of my moms but it was a re-gift essentially. It was gifted to my moms friend by someone else but she didn't want her (for whatever reasons) and decided to re-gift it to my mother as a mother's day gift. I was just told that it was 6 weeks old, still feeding her milk.

I've had a chihuahua before, his name was snoopy, he's long gone now, I just hope he's in a better place now (if you want pics just look at my albums.). He was a smooth chihuahua and big for his breed and relatively tough (as in strong.). Anyhow, I know they can be demon dogs but some can be nice. I'm just waiting to move her onto dry dog food and to get her the vaccinations before I give her away to another (assuming I'm unable to keep her.).JBrazen wrote:I see Chihuahua as well. Congrats

I think the animal is part Manchester terrier and Chihuahua.
Strike that, I think I found her! Toy Manchester Terrier

IMO the snout isn't long enough for that,IMO it has a shorter "Chihuahua" snout.blebs wrote:I think the animal is part Manchester terrier and Chihuahua.

I had a chihuahua with the same coloration as this pup. She was the most lovable dog in the world.JBrazen wrote:I see Chihuahua as well. They're demon dogs, so be careful.
Congrats
Dogs become "demon dogs" because of their "demon owners".
My sister has 3 dogs and 4 cats and they are the most lovable animals in the world. When an animal is treated with lots of love and affection, they are wonderful.

Quiet, you're distracting her.

I agree with Dan. My Chihuahua looked just like this pup. Good luck with your new bambino.Dan wrote:IMO the snout isn't long enough for that,IMO it has a shorter "Chihuahua" snout.

lol, she did something kinda funny to me just now. I left her downstairs so I could just get ready to take her out for a walk. I suddenly hear a bunch of whimpering coming from the stairs then I see that she's made it half way up the stairs. I encouraged her to come all the way up and she made it surprisingly.
Anyway, to me she looks sort of like my friends lab, Linda.

She even acts like her which is funny. Stalks me around, pees all over the place, likes to sit wherever im sitting. I don't know, I think she's a keeper in the end.
still need a name though.

Well I've been working my butt off trying to make her interact with strangers and other dogs even cats... so far she's shy but yeah... a bit of progress.
We went to the vet and in order to do a stool check and deworming + vaccines was 111 USD.
We couldn't and still can't afford it so we're giving her up for adoption to someone who can pay for her medical bill. Most likely my friends but it's not a certain thing.

I took her with my friends dogs, after a few sessions she gets along with them just fine and acts normally around them. Even likes to play with them.
her official name is Mamas, she's grown a bit but not much. I decided to take a picture of her and Linda AKA Mamas side by side. Took a few thousand tries but finally got one picture.
