Opening Port for online video game

I bought COD 4 for my mac, but cannot play online because the place that i would play will not open the port for me to play. Is there any way around this for me to be able to play still??? Any help would be greatly appreciated

the port is not open on the outgoing firewall? What port? It is rare for a admin to close ports like that outgoing. If it is indeed closed .. then go get your own network.

Or are you trying to host a game .. if so .. then nope

its a school port, they have it blocked
